House Ray 1
Amidst the old world skyline on Vienna emerges the House Ray 1 which represents the cutting edge modern architecture and interior design of Elke Meissl and her partner/ husband, Roman Delugan of Meissl and Delugan Architects. This luxury penthouse has been described as "James Bondish" with floor to ceiling walls of glass, sloping floors, and built in furniture that adds to the spatial continuum. Here are some of the living spaces and exterior characteristics of the House Ray 1 that features a kitchen referred to as a "culinary cockpit" a stairway that cantilevers from the side of the building, and ramp flooring that leads to the "living zone", the family favorite. This ultra modern structure has been seen by some as cold and impersonal, I think it shows the 21st century comfortably surrounded by its past.
